What is FTP (File Transfer Protocal)? |
|
Ruby Lane provides a free
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) area as a temporary loading platform for shop/item photos. Shop owners can transfer multiple photos in advance of loading items in their shops by moving them in bulk from storage files on their computers to their shop's FTP area. Loading multiple photos in advance to your Ruby Lane FTP area and then selecting photos from the FTP area for use in a listing is quicker than waiting for individual photos to load and can help to prevent listing issues due to unexpected interruption of an Internet connection. Shop Owners can also use FTP to load photos or graphics to their Shop Home Page. A detailed set of instructions for using FTP to load your photos and graphics can be found in the Shopowners Home page under Selling Successfully.
