addition to the Common Requirements,
we require Porcelain items, i.e. those that begin with the word
Porcelain in the category string, to meet these quality standards:
Porcelain items must be at least 20 years old, of high quality, authentic, and not reproductions.
Minimum sale price for any Porcelain item is $5 USD.
Items should consist primarily of hard or soft paste porcelain, bone china, or parian.
Porcelain items not yet 20 years old can qualify to be listed only if these conditions are met:
The specific item is referenced in a printed price guide book or recognized online price guide, and
the name of the price guide in which the item was found and the year the item was made are both provided within the listing.
Specifically
excluded from being listed in Porcelain Lane are:
Opaque earthenware items such as those made of basalt, delftware,
creamware, ironstone, jasper ware, majolica, pearlware, queensware or
stoneware; these should be listed in the Pottery Lane.
New items purchased or available for retail purchase in the past year.
Items handcrafted within the last 20 years, even if the materials are old.
Additional requirements for
Porcelain: Antiques subcategory:
Porcelain: sub category Antique items must be high quality pieces that are 100 years old or older.
If a manufacturer's mark is present it must be shown and be clearly readable in at least one photo.
Minimum sale price for any Porcelain: sub category Antique item is $50 USD.
