What do I need to know before listing an item described as Silver?
Any item described or represented as silver, sterling, or sterling silver must be at least 925/1000ths pure silver (92.5%). Any marks indicating this purity must be shown legibly in a photograph in the item listing for Jewelry and Antique items.
If a jewelry item does not have any quality marks, it must be tested and a summary of the test results must be included in the item listing. Any jewelry item containing silver which contains less then 925 parts per 1000 pure silver may be placed within the Silver Lane, but the purity level of the material must be revealed in the titles and description. These conditions do not necessarily apply to all Artisan Jewelry items.
