Question Title What is the Block Buyer system?
The Block Buyer system provides shop owners with the option to block buyers from asking questions, making offers, and submitting purchase orders through this site. Buyers are blocked by email address, and there are some provisions, though not foolproof, so that if a blocked buyer changes their email address, they may still be blocked. Just as buyers have the ability to "stay away" from any shop they wish, shop owners have the option to block and unblock buyers from their shop at any time, and for any reason.

Buyers are reminded that completing a Purchase Order is considered by Ruby Lane to be a serious commitment to buy, and shop owners are encouraged to block buyers who consequently back out of a purchase without good reason, or who fail to pay.

Buyers are also reminded to ensure that the email address they have registered at Ruby Lane is still their current email address, and is in working order.

Since shops differ in the amount of time they will allow before payment is required, buyers should check a shop's Terms of Sale page for any specific time-frame. Shops are reminded that there can be legitimate reasons for slow payment and setting too tight a time-frame could be counter-productive and lead to loss of a potentially good buyer.
