Question Title How Do I Take a Screen Shot?

On a Windows-based operating system use the 'Print Screen' (PrtSc) key to take a snapshot of an error message or other issue you are seeing on your computer screen. 'Print Screen' saves the selected view to an internal clipboard, from which it can then be copied and pasted into any document that supports graphics. Open an HTML document file in Word or Open Office and paste/save (right-click on the open, blank file and select "Paste" or hold down "Ctrl" and press "V" to paste) the view from the clipboard into the file. Or open Paint and paste/save the view as a PNG file, a quality, small-size format perfect for saving screenshots.

Most keyboards have a 'PrtSc' key. Using it alone captures only what you see in view on the screen. Press that key along with the 'Alt' key to capture the current window.
