How do I add my shop logo? |
|
We recommend that you use a jpeg or gif image. Your logo is uploaded through your web browser from the Edit Shop Info page. We resize the image to fit the logo space in your shop. The shop logo's maximum sizes are 180 pixels wide by 120 pixels tall. Your logo image should be approximately 1 1/2 times wide as it is high, for example, 300x200, or 600x400. A logo with a white or transparent background usually looks best.
Note that we do not allow a shop logo to include a web site URL. If you are uploading an animated GIF, the image must fit into the logo space without resizing. If we resize your animated logo, it will no longer be animated.
Your logo will appear on your shop home page. The Shop Directory also displays each shop's logo.
We strongly recommend you use a graphic or photo that represents your business or is related to your shop name, or a professional photo of the shop owner. Although it is tempting to use a photo of a child or a favorite pet, this is not in keeping with good business practices. It is important to remember your Logo is your brand, it is a pictorial representation of your business. You want a logo that shows you are serious about your business and a professional. If you are not artistically inclined or do not have the tools to create a logo graphic there are many sites offering graphics for purchase at a small fee.
